THOUGHTS ON THIS HAND
I am looking for advice on how I played a hand and if my thoughts should have been different.
Playing 50 person sit in go on Pokerstars, low limits.
Start of tournament not catching any hands, but evaluating the table. I always mark the Fish, players playing hands out of position, betting on 3rd pair, stuff like that. This way I will know who I want to play against. After 4 orbits I have 5 of the 8 players marked.
2nd level, one of the fish pushes his remaining 650 in, I am on the button K-Q c's, I push my stack 1450, hoping the blinds dont wake up with a hand, and I did not have either one of them marked. Blinds fold, K-Q c vs 5-6 s, he flops 2 pair. No worries I get all the chips back in less than 1 orbit from the same player, he pushes J-T off into my big blind, I am holding the ladies.
Little background leads me to the hand I would like some advice on.
Still 2nd level, I am sitting on the button, 6-4 c's, 3 limpers to me, I limp as well.
Flop 4-6-8 (2 diamonds)
Fish leads out 120, the another fish calls. I admit that I was thinking they had to be on draws. They dont have an overpair or A rag, or they would have pushed all in. I pushed all in, hoping to get one caller chasing a draw.
Both call, one has bottom two pair, the other top 2 pair, and I am elliminated.
After thinking about this hand, if I would have been right and one was chasing a flush and the other chasing a straight draw, they would have had 15 outs. They would have been favored to win the hand anyway.
I play one gappers looking for straight, maybe I should have just called and looked for a full house? Or played the hand much differently, or maybe not even played the hand at all with only being in the second level.
The results don't really matter, I am just looking at different ways to look at this scenerio.
Thanks for any and all advice!
