    Default Geek Question

I have been trying to understand NoSQL - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. I have broad understanding of relational databases and how they interact with SQL. But im having problems imaging the BigTable - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia and other such systems. Is there somewhere, i can learn about this and "get it".

    Any help is appreciated.

    That's a very broad question.

Basically, NoSQL solutions don't conform to the SQL standard and/or relax some of the ACID characteristics in exchange for scalability.
