OK, so my 'roll is now up to a mighty $139.
Is this an automatic move-up to 5NL?
Still not massively confident in my game, so wondering if all you good grinders out there reckon there's any real skillz difference between 2NL and 5NL?
Thankin' Yew...

Stepping up is part of the learning curve. Your confidence will grow with experience. If you find you're out of your depth (unlikely at 5nl if you're a winning 2nl player), there's no shame in stepping down. Good luck bro.

Upon looking at your graph in the Aug Graph thread, I would def say yes. Play the same. Don't get fancy and don't play money scared. Move back down at about $70 but I don't think you'll ever see 2NL again.

Move up. You don't have a huge sample size but it's not really needed at this stake if you're ok with moving back down. Be prepared to take a hit on your redline. It seems like every player at 5nl just heard about this thing called 3 bet bluffing so until you can adjust to that you'll prolly be folding a lot more of your opens than you're used to, at least that's what happened with me. Good luck.

move up. Stop loss at 90. Don't hit the stoploss cos 5nl is even easier than 2nl. Don't change your game. Do play a couple less tables for your first 5nl session while you get used to the bigger $-values involved. You'll do fine. |
