Pocket 4s UTG - 2NL FR

Lower pairs are always a quandary for me in Early/Mid position. I generally don't feel like I can play them confidently enough - particularly against stronger opponents.

I didn't have PT running, but none of these players had played particularly well (in my opinion). Small raises, folding to re-raises and shoves with marginal hands at best. I had played roughly 20 hands at this table so far.

Pre-flop - I decided to limp in, not being in position or with a particularly high pair. From what I had seen of these other players JJ+, AQ+ would be the only hands they would raise PF with.

Flop - Got my set and judging by the small b/c from SB and the call from MP3, they had pairs at best. At this point, I believe putting them on A6+,JJ+,KQ, AK is a realistic assumption - please correct me if that seems wrong.

Turn - SB obviously doesn't have anything, but the raise from MP3 is substantial. I'm thinking he's possibly got pocket 9's - but I doubt it. Surely he would have raised the flop? More likely is that he has something like A9 and (being TPTK) is happy to put that amont of money in.
He only has $0.09 left at this point, so it's obvious what I should do.

My question regarding this hand is whether my estimated ranges are accurate, given the few reads I have.
Also, I'm still debating whether I should have raised PF despite being OOP.

i personally raise any PP regardless of position only in a tight table...

i tighten up as players get looser/donkier... unless villains have a high fold to c-bet percentage which is rare...

20 hands is a horrible sample as you've only seen what everyone does twice in every position at the table so until they proove otherwise assume loose donkeys and play tight...

as played... raise a whole lot more on the flop... if you're gonna raise you need to do it right...

Dont overestimate the retardedness of 2nl players. A9-AK and KQ will rarely be here, as would JJ+ since JJ+ raises usually pre or post.

A6-A8 is fine though, id probably add A5-A4, but id definately ad 44-TT, 87, 98, T8, 86, 76, 75, 74, 65, 64, 63 and any other potential pairs or pair + draw or just draw combos that villain could have. People love to limp suited connectors and many like limping connectors nowadays too.

You're right, JKDS - I definitely should have included suited connectors in that range.

As it turns out, he was holding pocket threes and I ended up taking down his stack. I suppose his raise on the turn was simply him trying to make me fold.
