    Default SB with JJ 6.60 6max

    field was very weak here, folding to alot of my 3 bets, and when i grew my stack they were just folding to everything .. this hand was weird why would he push QQ+ here, gets no value cause i dont have the line to call here .. even if your not gettin odds can you call here?? if the donk does have me crushed than im just dumpin him chips, most likely the right play is to fold right??

    If you have that much of an edge, may as well fold and just keep using it.

    This is an ICM exercise - put villain on a range of hands, then use an ICM calculator to figure out whether you have odds to call. There's a worked example in the Tactics Digest, but if you post a range I can help you with the calcs.

    thanks, good read .. you wanna help with this calc. just so i can see it again .. i wasnt running a HUD but if i had to say he was pretty nitty, the field seemed like a pushover like i said most 3 bets everyone was folding, and most of the time i opened they were just folding as well, i didnt see alot of his hands but i would have to say if he was to push over a 3 bet than hes probably pretty strong. id give him 99+, AQ+ .. so if that was his range how would this work out??

    OK, I'll assume the MP folds with all that action exploding after him/her to make the calculation a little easier. Of course there's always the chance that he/she has a monster but that's only about 1-2%.

    - If you fold, you will have 2855 chips worth 30% of the prize pool
    - If you call and win, you will have 4525 chips worth 43.5% of the prize pool
    - If you call and lose, you will have 1755 chips owrth 19.9% of the prize pool.

    Therefore, you need to be (30-19.9)/(43.5-19.9) = 42.8% to win against opp's range to make this a good call.

    If opp's range is 99+, AQ+...

    equity win tie
    Hand 0: 50.184% 49.22% 00.96% { JJ }
    Hand 1: 49.816% 48.85% 00.96% { 99+, AQs+, AQo+ }

    ...making this a clear call.
