Blind stealing if there's a limper

Default Blind stealing if there's a limper

I'm afraid this might be a very trivial question. Still, I've given it a lot of thought recently, and I'm feeling uncertain as to how I should handle this situation.

Imagine a very typical situation, where
    - It is a mid-stage of a low-level or micro-level MTT. Table has turned pretty tight recently.
    - I have a lowly M between 5 and 7. Some opponents have slightly smaller M, most have bigger.
    - I'm on the Button and I have some weak holding. I have stolen the blinds couple of times, but in general I have not been overly aggressive. At the moment I'm wondering whether to go for the blinds this time or not.
    - Then suddenly player in middle position limps. I have no particular read on him.

Should the presence of the limper make me more or less likely to steal as compared to if it was folded to me?

    Reasons to steal:
    - There is now more money in the pot to be won.
    - He just limped, indicating that his hand is probably not very strong

    Reasons not to steal:
-There is one extra player who has to fold.

    What's the standard approach here?

In general I'm less likely to steal, unless villain has limp-folded before.

I look for habitual limpers, especially the ones that limp/fold like luco said, if I am going to steal with a limper in front. You can also abuse limpers who do not fold pre, but have a high fold to cbet percentage. Another time to steal is if you see someone who is not very stack size aware limping when they are too short to do so and by the time you raise they realize they cannot call and often give up the hand. Try to avoid stealing from limpers if you have active 3 bettors behind you obv.

I will 3 bet atc if I see a habitual limper getting isolated by the same player. That is a dynamic that can be abused at a very high success rate. This kind of steal is similar to squeezing, and in some ways is better than just open raising since you get a lot more chips without even seeing a flop. The only problem is it is a rare situation. Just something to add to your steal repertoire.

I don't mind it if you have around 10M stack and you have a hand like Axs+, A7o+, K9s+, QT+, 9Ts, 22+ or something around this range.

If you know this guy is a limp folded ok maybe u should steel the blinds, however he might have a monster, due to the fact that he knows u would try and steal when limped to.

Well most of the time the limper has a weak hand. I think the problem is the limper's stack size. He might call an all in of a stack like yours with a small pair ıf his M is like 40-50. You need to ask yourself you want to gamble or not.

At low stakes, so many people seem incapable of folding once they have put money in the pot, I would be less likely to steal with a weak hand against an unknown limper.
