Default fairly deep, not in money

i dont have HHs but the last 3 MTTs all the same result and im wondering some thoughts. all were those stars guaranteed money tournies at the $2 or $5 very deep but not in money yet. im a TAGG player who played fairly tight in all.

tourney 1: blinds 250/500 im BB (12,000) with 77, folds to Button (30,000) who makes it 1500 to go. i feel hes not fairly strong so i push all in, he insta calls with KQo hits Q.

tourney 2: blinds 300/600 im SB (11,000) with 77, folds to CO (28,000) makes its 1675. i push all in and BB (19,500) pushes all in CO folds. BB shows AQo hits Q.

tourney 3: blinds 500/1000 turbo im BB (17,000) with 99, folds to BB (41,000) makes it 2700. i push all in he calls with KJs hits J on turn.

should i be folding here?? i know there was a post about playing pairs but i thought these spots were different. i cant re raise i think its a push or fold but maybe im wrong. i actually put them on hands like this where i think they would fold but they didnt. i feel like i get myself in trouble alot late in tournies with mid pocket pairs. any help?

try winning the flip instead, see if it feels more right

Yeah you're just an unlucky player. It's almost impossible to win at poker if you're unlucky so I don't see any option other than quitting.

put them on a range, figure out what part of that range you think they will fold, and total up the chips you gain there. then add that to your equity when you call and there you are.

it would also be interesting for you to point out why mcat's article about small pairs does not apply here

    don't guess figure out why

"I'm just unlucky" is wrong and unhelpful

i just agreed with all the other posts. i wasnt the 1st to say it. according to mcats strategy with small pp's with a late raise from a pretty loose player its not a bad play to push a pair here. im just saying in 3 seperate occassions in my last 3 tournies i went late the same result. i get called fairly weak lose a flip and get bounced. i know its standard and i got unlucky but is it a bad play to fold here and wait for a better spot in position. i always seem to get stuck in these tough spots late. my game struggles deep in these and thats why im askin for help

do they not have sarcasm in new jersey? I don't know what to tell you. That posts means you lose coin flips sometimes, it sucks but get used to it.

As far I have been able to tell. You have to win multiple coin flips AI to go deep in a tourney. To win you have to be running like a god. Its very lucky to win multiple coin flips in a row to go deep.

What would be more interesting is how many of these situations you do win and don't think twice about it.

totally understand to FT a deep tourney there are times you need to get lucky in these spots a bunch of times. my point is me re raising all in with these pairs and them calling off half there stack with pretty marginal hands. is it a bad play on there part?? if you were in there situation do you call or fold? i thought by pushing here i would get them to fold and move on but in all 3 i was wrong so im just wondering why. personally they can be dominated by AK or flipping with any pair. which tends me to fold here and look for a better spot sometimes. dont get me wrong i lost a flip 3 times ahead but i was looking for them to fold weak hands which they didnt

You can't make people fold at this level. So, get ready for getting called when you are all in. They don't play as soft as people in Guantlet.

In my oppinion it's still too early for a coinflip. Once in the money you can gamble more, however in this spot it's ok to fold a coin flip.
