OP, this type of question is way too general and is practically pointless to examine. Poker is a game that is very situational dependent. That is to say, what is accepted to be a correct play against one player, might not be correct against another. What happens to be correct at one moment in the match, is not correct at another point.

If you wish to examine this "situation" further, then I suggest starting another thread giving a bit more detail, such as stack sizes, reads, hands, etc, and post a little on why you think it might be profitable or unprofitable to make such a play. Also, there is an entire sub-forum dedicated to Heads-up Hold'em that you might want to check out. It could provide you with much more information.
