Fear of pushing back

    Default Fear of pushing back

Had a session tonight where I ran into a couple of situations where I raised preflop with strong hands then had to let them go. For example, I would flop middle pair strong kicker (example I hold AQs and board flops KQ5). I would bet 2/3 of the pot and get raised. One hand the guy totally overbet and my gut was screaming to call but I just couldn't throw that much money in the middle without knowing for sure I had a very strong hand.

Has anyone dealt with this and what is the best way to get over this innate fear of pushing huge amounts into the middle? I play with proper Bankroll Management so that isn't an issue.

Just something you need to come to terms with.

I think an even bigger problem for most players is making a good big bet with air or a weak hand, running into a big hand and then being results-oriented about it.
