    Default Rookie question

Hello, I have looking at this site for some time but have only just registered, anyway could someone please answer my question?

I see winrates quoted as BB/100, now I understand this means big bets per hundred hands, what I dont understand is how big is a big bet?

    Hi and welcome!

BB/100 is used in terms of NL ring games- how many Big Blinds you win in 100 hands.

The term big bet is used in Limit Hold'Em. In limit you can only bet a certain amount, then on the turn and river that amount doubles. The amount you can bet on the turn and river are known as the Big Bet.
