Default JJ middle position Fire Turn??

    Merge Network $0.02/$0.04 No Limit Hold'em - 9 players

    BTN: $4.12
    SB: $4.21
    BB: $3.74
    UTG: $4.63
    UTG+1: $3.06
    UTG+2: $6.30
    MP1: $2.88
    Hero (MP2): $4.04
    CO: $4.70

    Pre Flop: ($0.06) Hero is MP2 with J J
    3 folds, MP1 calls $0.04, Hero raises to $0.16, 1 fold, BTN calls $0.16, 3 folds

    Flop: ($0.42) 6 2 8 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.21, BTN calls $0.21

    Turn: ($0.84) A (2 players)
Hero bets $0.42??????, BTN raises to $0.84, Hero folds

This guy was 15/15 over 25 hands and seemed to play tight abc style. I should i even be playing this hand and if so should I be betting turn?? I think turn is an obvious fold after the raise b/c all I can be ahead of is 10 10 and I don't think even that makes sense to show up here.

+1, my standard would be around 3/4 pot.

I know it's a leak to narrow villains range down this much but his line reeks of Axcc.

don't mind a smaller 1/2pottish vbet on the turn as while the A doesn't improve villain all that often, it is a scare card to the non-FD part of his range we're trying to get value from.

    This is strong logic.

In general when someone raises the turn at micros you can fold almost all of your range assuming they aren't an aggro donk.

Bet 2/3 pot or so on the flop. At this level, it makes a fair difference in how often the players will call with overs, which isn't particularly desirable since you're OOP with a fair number of possible turn cards that can either beat you or kill / reduce the action.

Once he raises the turn, he very likely has you beat; the likely scenarios are he either called pre- with a middle pair and flopped a set or only called pre- with a big A then floated the flop with overs and caught on the turn. If he is still behind and somehow found a raise anyway, so be it. You can't play poker without being outplayed, often by opponents who have position.

Bet pot on flop. Good fold.
