Default 10nl aqo wtf am i doing

    CO: $8.35 (83.5 bb)
    BTN: $9.49 (94.9 bb)
    SB: $10.35 (103.5 bb)
    Hero (BB): $10.29 (102.9 bb)
    UTG: $10 (100 bb)
    MP: $10 (100 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with A Q
UTG folds, MP raises to $0.30, CO folds, BTN calls $0.30, SB folds, Hero raises to $1.10, MP calls $0.80, BTN folds

    Flop: ($2.55) T 3 A (2 players)
Hero bets $1.60, MP calls $1.60

    Turn: ($5.75) J (2 players)
Hero bets $3, MP calls $3

    River: ($11.75) 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $4.59 and is all-in

villain is 25/17, fold to 3bet 6/10, fold to cbet 6/9 over 200 hands. can't figure him out. unsure about squeeze pre, unsure about turn bet, unsure about river bet. also sizings look bad. would it be better to make it like 2+ OTF and just jam the turn for around pot? if I do this doesn't it narrow his calling range to hands that have me crushed? i see him having a lot of Ax but the turn, AJ now has me crushed, can he show up with like 9T+? JT has me crushed now too. by the river A9 also has me crushed. bleh.

sorry for ramble, curious to hear thoughts

squeeze looks fine, your hand doesn't play too well multiway, but you can still get called by worse and have two good blockers to pick up dead monies a lot.

You can probably just go ahead and c/f this turn card. I doubt he calls the squeeze with any worse Ax on this board. ATs and AJs now crush you and AK is very much in his range. I doubt he calls the preflop or flop light enough to have much of a betting range that you can beat on this turn. I also can't think of much you get value from by betting turn yourself.

    thanks

i kind of felt like an idiot jamming this river, like i was betting just because i didn't know what else to do

how about squeeze sizing? should it be smaller pre or is that fine?
like if it's smaller it obviously has to work less of the time, but at the same time i get called more often and find myself in tough spots...

Once you get to the river you basically have no choice but to jam. You can't c/f for this price and c/c is going to be worse EV wise due to the fact he might check back splits and worse aces rendering his betting range tighter than his calling range. Your mistake is committing your stack on the turn with fairly meh equity vs his continuing range.

Sizing is a tad too small imo but not a huge deal I'd probably go $1.20 - $1.30 and expect this to yield a good bit more fold equity pre which can only be a good thing.

Edit: you have more than I thought on the river so maybe check folding wouldn't be horrible but it's close, just don't c/c.

There is not much in his range that you can get value from on this flop imo. Maybe AJ, but it's doubtful he even calls AJ pre unless you have a squeeze-monkey image.

What is his 3b stat? Does he 3b AK preflop? What are MP's stats?

I would think about c/c the flop. You're much more likely to get value from PP on further streets if the flop goes check/check and if he bets the flop not too big after you check, you can call one street as there is a chance he is betting AQ or AJ, bluffing with some suited connectors or a gutshot or even turning a lower pair into a bluff.

If you ever cbet, make it half pot imo, that's pretty much the standard bet size in 3b pots and there is no reason to bet more as there are no draws on the board other than the odd gutshot. You can easily be all-in by the river if you half pot every street and it will prevent the sizing problems you have experienced on the turn and river.

As played, just like carroters said.

...don't take the above for granted and wait for carroters, spoon and others to explain why this is a terrible plan...
