No, I totally get it. I hadn't thought it through until I saw their rules. My first thought was WTF? And my second was, Oh, yeah, that makes sense. Of course, there are other ways to solve the problem. Publish a variable display name and a constant user id, for example. Then people can base their persistent keys off the constant user id, and someone who is tired of being DebbieDoesDallas43 can change her display name after she realizes it was a poor choice...
But anyway, yeah, I understand the logic.
So even though you probably didn't know any better, changing your username is a form of cheating in online poker.
... given the limitations of a poorly designed system, yes.
I'm still hoping they'll make an exception. I don't think 4 days of penny poker is worth being a rules-stickler over.
