    Default gut shot straight draw...

    how do you play them??

    example:
aks..u raise 3 callers flop is Q T 3 rainbow..you would CB if in early maybe reraise a CB from a later position with 2 overs right?? thats pretty much my question any later streets will depend on other players bet/call/raise..

    another:

T9s late position..limp in and flop is J 7 2 rainbow..do u bet? limp with a check /call small bet to see turn??with 5 or 6 players seeing flop..if there was 4 or less i would say fold to a bet but limp is ok..???

    last one:

KdQd middle position..called a small raise from BTN 3 players flop is Ac Tc 9d
what to do..what to do..lol i dont have much to say about this i will call if table texture permits(chk/call small) but what should i be doing??

ok so i guess what i want to know is when should i be calling these down? a CB is a must if in early position..but what are the odds of catching?? with rainbow flop?? or nut flush but not your suit? how do these affext you in the long run??

thanks in advance for the advice/help...much appreciated!!!

AK raised pre-flop, as overpairs with a gutshot on the flop tends to play pretty well unless someone raises back at you. Generally you are going to have 10 outs plus some fold equity, which makes it a very good spot for a c-bet.

As for gutshots in general, pot and implied odds are extremely important here. If you raised pre-flop or you think the other players in the hand are weak, or you are heads up, you can certainly fire a c-bet. Otherwise, you need to have in mind what sort of payoff you can expect if you hit one of your 4 outs. So check the other players' stack sizes and think about how much you will be able to get them to put into the pot if you hit your draw.

I've always thought it was "gunshot." Am I crazy?

Actually, the term I learned when my parents taught me 5 card draw as a kid was "inside straight draw", but you never hear that term anymore; it's always "gutshot".
