paul krugman: calls $2.91 and is all-in

    Board [:Ts: :Jd: :As:]

Seat 1: paul krugman (small blind) showed [Js Jh] and won ($8.64) with three of a kind, Jacks
Seat 2: Rounded08 (big blind) mucked [Qh Qs]
Seat 7: johnnyTOtall mucked [Td Ks]<--What? lol... anyway.

Either way, I'm no longer tilted(that lasted about 10 minutes. I ended my session soon after, and it was a winning session, so who can stay mad?), but I would like to know if I did the right thing. Thanks for the input.

Well obviously Johnny was loose. Bit of a station.
Paul- not much of a read. I'd say the closest I could narrow it down to is tight, maybe passive(well apparently, but I noticed prior to the hand.). I really didn't see much play out of him in the time he was at the table.

I'd rather bet pot on the flop and shove the turn, or call a reshove. No way I could fold an overpair + oesd here. Even if he has AA, KK or JJ you're in decent shape on the flop. - JJ has a redraw to fill up, but overall I don't see how you want to get away from this. AA or KK would probably 4-bet preflop, so there's not too many hands you hae to worry about. 2 pair or a made straight, and you're taking outs away - since you have 2 Q it makes it less likely for someone to have QK.

I'm far from an expert, but I would have played it differently.

I would have done a pot sized bet on the flop and then MAYBE fold if I got reraised. The pot sized bet is to scare off or give bad odds to anyone with a flush or straight draw. Shoving like you did would have the same effect, but TYPICALLY the only people who would call already have you beat.

I wouldn't even consider folding. If I'm the villain I would probably more often than not re-raise AI on this board with AKd, AQd, AJ, ATd, KTd, QTd .
I would still call, but others might be more aggressive with: AQo, K8, lower flushdraws and straight draws with no or just one over.
And many players on this level will do it with Jx or maybe even KT, 8T, 89... It's so freaking hard to miss this flop... pretty much any decent hand that would call you pre-flop got a piece of it, and you do not want to let 2 people draw cheaply.

If I put a monetary value on my chips in a game, I'm going to suck at poker. What then, would be an acceptable amount of money to loose before I should tilt jym?

he just means you shouldnt tilt over one buyin in a spot which was unavoidable, i agree monetary value doesnt matter in this respect but you really shouldnt tilt over something as little as this.

I understand. The tilting wasn't really over 1 single hand. When playing Micro's(as I'm sure you know) you can get frustrated by the end of a session here's whyagain, i'm sure you know)
Passive players who will c/c the nuts
maniacs who will call with anything
maniacs who will go all in with anything, and beat your A's
People who like to "bet to see where your at" which can get annoying when it's on every street of every hand.
people who will call down with crap, then catch the river...
Getting all folds against your UTG bet when you've got A's and K's
... plenty more, And I know, all that can be exploited and should be. It's just when your playing a few tables at the lowest stakes, it kinda adds up.
