Default Connectors from the SB with an raised pot - situational Q

This came up from talking with one of my best buds this morning about playing from the SB. We both play $50NL, but the conversation was sparked as I was explaining a hand I played in $25NL. Either way, the topic came to playing the small blind with connectors.

Say you have JT, T9, 89, 78, 67, 56 in the small blind and you have 3 limpers prior. There is a good chance the BB will raise the unraised pot as usuall. Do you complete, fold, or raise. And, if the BB does raise as you expected, lets say 3x to 4x (standard raise in this scenario) do you call or fold (assuming you limped in). If you think the BB will just check - then I think this is (imo) an easy call.

    Discuss.

My thoughts on this originally were that this is a -EV move. However, if I'm giving up 3xBB everytime, what are the chances that I may make up all of the loses the time it hits. I don't know. It seems I'd need the perfect scenario where I would be able to get my opponent to dedicate his entire stack everytime I hit the straight\flush which isn't always an easy thing to do. I mean, if this was limit, I'd probably not think twice about it.

The concept that the BB is going to autoraise here is the fallacy, sure it will happen sometime but it's no where near 100%. Unraised pots happen preflop, and with only one person to go when you are getting X-1 odds (based on number of previous callers) there is almost no scenario where you should fold. You have a great multiway hand, and the ability to get into a multiway pot... I see no reason to fold, especially since if it is raised you get to see how many callers before it's your turn.

I dont totally agree. Ive sat at tables where ppl autoraise the bb if its unraised everytime, Simply because they know if they raise say 6bbs preflop then hammer the flop only a monster calls.
In this scenario i hink i call then fold if bb raises.
The exception is if the pot builds up considerably, say 2 or 3 callers.
I hate suited junk OOP in a raised pot thats one rereason to fold. Also, this opp is almost always, without exception going to pot the flop which means we're chasing for shitty odds anyway.
So i guess you waste the bb completing and hope for a pot to build preflop so u can call or just fold if he auto raises

Regardless of your worry that the BB is going to raise preflop, it's costing you 1/2 a bet to find out - With limpers infront of you. Additionally, while you are OOP in this case you get to see exactly how many people do call if he does raise.

While it'd be great to be on the button in this scenario, it's silly to think the only playable hands from the SB are the ones that you can raise with.

Downside, you pretty much have to slap the flop since you're OOP.

If you think that the BB is on Autoraise with limpers, don't call.

If you think the BB will raise depending on his cards, call.
