Default 2NL 6max AK nut flush - extraction

Villain is a 53/6 passive half-stacked whale, chases a lot.

I bet small on the flop because I really really want a call and to rep some weakness.

The turn is bingo. I let some time pass before checking and took even longer to call his bet.

    1) Was it OK to check/call the turn?

    2) What on the river?

    No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (6 handed) - Hold'em Manager Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    saw flop

    Button ($1.18)
    SB ($5.12)
    Hero (BB) ($2.03)
    UTG ($1.03)
    MP ($4.15)
    CO ($0.98)

Preflop: Hero is BB with K, A
UTG calls $0.02, 3 folds, SB calls $0.01, Hero bets $0.08, UTG calls $0.08, 1 fold

    Flop: ($0.22) K, 10, 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $0.11, UTG calls $0.11

    Turn: ($0.44) 4 (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $0.22, Hero calls $0.22

    River: ($0.88) 5 (2 players)

Sizing pre won't change his range
Flop size probably won't change his range since he'll never fold any big spades or pair + 1 spade.
Turn is just basically lets extract from all his pair + spades that just got there
And River you want to get hero'd cuz he's a passive moron and there should be like 1/2-2/3 PSB left if you sized pre/flop correctly

Did you see that he has only half a stack? 1/2 pot on the flop, 1/2 pot on the turn and he has 2/3 pot behind on the river.

edit: I agree that size does not matter much: when they want to call, they call. I was more worried about not showing too much strength.

If he's so passive then why are you checking into him on the turn?

Because I hope he has a decent spade and he is going to spazze. If he checks behind I still have a chance to get his stack on the river. I was worried that if I bet he would fold everything that has not a spade in it.

    Maybe it's dumb and I should bet-bet-bet.

Should also have said that i have seen him fold to second barrels a couple of times before.

Bet flop more! Look at your read! Why are you confident a passive player will bluff? Ahhh didn't see that spoon already took care of that. If he folds to second barrels but bets everytime we check it to him I doubt he's so passive. Most passive players will call a turn bet with a wider range than bet when checked to.

His calling range is lol wider than his betting range on the turn.

bigger pre, flop is ok - bigger is good if utg has more than 50bb, it's fine vs 50bb.
    bet turn
river bet 61c as played obviously, not even close

It's a little close. I'd probably bet 62c. Anything else though is not close.
