Villian is 11/8/2 over 1k hands Villian C-bets %70 was thinking against this player he was a little on the nitish side with a high steal % so figured I was getting some good implied odds here.

For crying out loud...will you PLEASE STOP CHECKING THE FLOP!!?? You should be looking to get as much money in here as possible, praying he has the ace. Your decisions on later streets are irrelevant, you played the flop so bad.

...Not really. Yes this player keeps making horrendous flop checks, but we still have a hand going on. If you were checking to C/R, think about how wet this board is and how vulnerable a hand you have. We can slowplay more the less likely it is that we'll get sucked out on. Most this means if you don't flop a FH you should be leading out.

That being said I bet pot on the turn, and you have to put him on TT-KK on this river to get any value somehow. I don't mind the bet/fold so much, but check calling probably puts some bluffs into his range and may allow us to call wider.

bet/3 betting is good here as the amount of time these guys will raise you with any ace is crazy. Then obviously we get him more committed to getting it in, while protecting our hand at the same time.

c/r'ing the flop is ridiculously standard here what are all of you smoking? Your b/3b line is so unbalanced that I don't even want to go into it.

River is actually a really good vbet as villain more than likely has like TT-KK than a Ax hand the way the flop went down, however, I doubt he is good enough to turn those hands into bluffs on the river, so yea, for the price you're getting it looks like a fold.

Yes I stated that he had a C-bet of %70 so I was going for the checkraise. I just didn't think with his stats a little on the nittish side that he would raise me on the river with anything else of than an ace. Thanks for all your input.

I think this is correct on all streets (although there would have been nothing particularly wrong with a flop bet either-- see my post on slow play; you only have 2 pair at this point and unless you have a very good idea of both Villain's range putting him way behind and his likelihood to fold to a bet, you are taking a risk of letting Villain draw out on you cheaply by not betting).

I think donking is often overlooked

if villain is the type to raise a donk ATC (I am of this type) then you should donk strong
otherwise you should donk hands that are not strong enough to c/r
or they're strong enough to donk/3b
or they're strong hands on drawy boards that you don't want villain to check back a draw with like a gutshot + overcards when you have top pair

if you watch heads-up videos on stoxpoker some of the instructors like to donk a lot, it's a very often overlooked line
we don't have to do it only with the nuts or only as a bluff, we can mix it up
