Moving up in Limits
Should I stay or should i go?
Here is what I hear from my friends:
One good way to move up in limits is to begin by taking occasional "shots" at bigger games. Try your hand at a higher limit one time and see how it goes. If it doesn't work out, no big deal; it's back to your regular game. But if things work out and you feel comfortable and confident, you can return, again and again, easing yourself gradually into the bigger games. Of course, there's no law saying you must move up in limits. If you're comfortable and happy at your current level, by all means stay there. It depends on your goals. If you're a recreational player, there's no reason to move up in limits if you don't want to. But if you're serious about the game, then graduating to higher stakes is almost inevitable. Timing is everything, so just be sure that you've cased out the new neighborhood before making the move.
I seem to get nervous at higher limits but jeez there is just so much $$ to be made. Any suggestions?
