Default Did I get my money in good here, or was it spew?

Greetings, everyone. Today I had this hand come up against a 35/15 villain with flop AF of 5 and 17% check/raise frequency.

    No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (8 handed)

    MP1 ($5.07)
    MP2 ($5.48)
    CO ($1.41)
    Button ($1.35)
    SB ($4.38)
    BB ($2)
    Hero (UTG) ($4.14)
    UTG+1 ($2.59)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 2c, 2h
Hero calls $0.02, UTG+1 calls $0.02, 2 folds, CO calls $0.02, Button calls $0.02, SB calls $0.01, BB checks

    Flop: ($0.12) 4s, 2d, 3s (6 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $0.08, 3 folds, SB raises $0.28, 1 fold, Hero raises $1.06, SB raises $4.08 (All-In), Hero calls $2.98 (All-In)

    Total pot: $8.36

    Results in white below:
SB had 5s, As (straight, five high).
Hero didn't show 2c, 2h (three of a kind, twos).
    Outcome: SB won $8.20

The open limp UTG with 22 was maybe meh, but this table was limp happy, so I figured it was a good limp for set hunting. Anyway, on this board against a loose villain with high flop aggression, was this shove +EV, or am I clearly behind and should fold to his shove and hate life?

As long as this shove was +EV, then I don't care about the result, but if it was spew, please let me know. Thanks.

    Cheers

I'd fold 22 UTG, but it's fine as played from the flop, his range is draws as well as two piar hands as ell as the possible straight.

Not limping UTG will help you avoid situations like these. If a table is limp happy then how happy are you with bottom set on this board 6 handed?

Please don't fold 22 UTG at 2nl. Low sets are a goldmine from any position here.

Getting all-in with a set on the flop is never a mistake.

Looks completely fine, Limping 22 UTG is a very profitable move at 2nl provided all you play it for is sets.

    against a straight:

you have 7 outs for the first card = 14%
10 outs for the second card = 20% given you don't make it on the first card * .86%

over 30% equity against a straight

As said, a set is way ahead of many a villain's range here, including AK, OES and pocket pairs.

Muzzard, lol so hard at your avatar.

Excellent, thanks for the replies everyone. Even though this hand got busted, I still feel good about getting my money in. It'll pay off in due time.

    Cheers!
