Default A Hot Piece of Table Selection Advice

I hate to start a get rich quick type thread, but it's advice that i should give to this wonderful community 'cause it's like doubled my winrate.

please god at least take a look at the PL tables. they are SOOO f'ing weak. the PL 6-max tables are like 4 people with 90/2 or 40/30 stats, one nit, me and exactly zero other sharks anywhere else in the sea. there isn't a grand selection because there are only like 5 10PL tables on full tilt anytime other than the happy hours, but you don't need grand selection because they're all idiots.

obviously this thread won't spark much discussion, so just go try it and come back and thank me here after your next session.

oh it does change a little bit of PF strategy and playing against SS because of the betting restrictions, but it's really the same game

And throughout how many hands has your winrate doubled? I highly doubt your sample size is large enough to make a claim like this.
That's how winners play; we convince the other guy he's making all the right moves.

20k+ hands. my play has also improved too, but i've wandered back over to NL a few times and there are far less fish and sharks actually exist meaning that there are far more sharks

Bodog only has one 10PL table and there is typically one shark sitting there all by himself waiting to pounce on the unspecting fishies.

lol yeah daven it took a large dose of the good samaritan in me to risk sharking up my waters, but i am in great debt to FTR.

iopq, holy jesus. does that 590 mean that it was only over 590 hands? i would have to stop playing poker for like 3 weeks if i lost that much in like an hour. when i moved up to 25PL i actually lost 4 buy ins pretty quickly and had to move back down. i think it's harder in one respect, and that is since there are so many maniacs you have to make a lot more thin value calls and adapt your game in a lot of ways to a lot of different styles. i can't imagine that this would be your problem though iopq, since i have seen you post some hands on here where you've demonstrated some gohonaze against some maniacs

BOOG, i've put some thought into how i worded my advice and i think that i did it poorly. to any noobs trying this advice, PLEASE DISREGARD THE BIT ABOUT DOUBLING MY WINRATE. i am certain that this has more to do with my play devoloping and actually figuring out how to play poker without following word for word a bunch of stuff i heard someone say in the beginner's digest (especially renton's advice), and being able to think about poker independently. there's no doubt though that there are far more loose fishies at PL than NL.

    yes, 590 hands
but it's only 4 buyins and one bad beat is a two BI difference
I think I did make a few pretty bad folds though

I guess I'm officially moving to pot limit. You've officially ruined it for all PL players surviva.

I know PL is softer, but being unable to raise 4xBB tilts me for some reason.

    Ok who am I kidding.
There is no such thing as easy Money.

Pot-limit hold'em is softer than no-limit hold'em currently, and limit hold'em is at least as soft as pot-limit hold'em currently.

Surviva...I apologize for doubting you. You are right about the softness of PLHE. Now delete this thread.
