When A x turns into AAA

Hey all,

We all know that playing Ax can be dangerous. What happens when your Ax turns into AAA with a AAx flop or hitting it on the river?

I usually play this agressively if no one else has represented their holding an A. I figure the odds are in my favor that the other A is not in play since there are 3 out already.

Is this smart play? I used to play it carefully but found that I was ahead in the hand and instead fo reaping a big pot I only won a little.

It all depends on position, your image, etc.

I played a hand in a SnG ther other day that I had Ah8h and was in the SB. An A hit the board and it checked around. Another A hit the turn and I bet hard at it. Someone who caught middle pair on the flop figured I was trying to buy it called. When the non scare river came I pushed and he called.

You pretty much need to get extract chips from the table idiot or induce a bluff or earn a call-down from a skeptical player when your monster is in plain sight.
