Default Ok so I located the leak!!!!

    Hello all,

After much loss and pain. I have definatly found my biggest leak.

You can call it fear, or being greedy and not willing to let go of my chips. But either way, I am getting bought out way to much. I played a game this weekend and lost terribly because, I camped too long and was unwilling to make a stand.

After this loss, I went to PokerTracker and started to see a big trend in my tourny play. I am only winning on tight tables. I continually fold to any aggression. Not even big aggression.

10 man tight tournys that last 2hours or more, and I do ok.
Aggressive tourneys I rarely make it to the money, because I get slowly raped of all my chips.

What can I do to become more aggressive in my play. When it comes down the money, I am always small stack. I have to change this or I will continually play break even poker.

There are so many things to mention that it would be hard for someone to give you all the answers. Post some HH and let people take a look at how you play your hands. Read the comments given for other people's HHs and apply that to your game.

Experience can solve this. It can also be caused by scared money (aka afraid of losing the hand or too much money). Post some hands where you think it might have been good to stay in. Get advice on them to see if people agree you are being too weak. Over time you will get a feel for where people believed you should have played back or called. This can help tremendously.

    Ok,

I will try to go through some of my HH tonight. When I get 2 or three together I will post them for review.

    Thanks

Hop into a low buy in tourney - play raise or fold poker only - and play force yourself to play at least 2 hands per 2 orbits.
You will lose money - this is not a winning poker strategy, but it will train you to be agressive

Thanks TLR, I may give this a try.
Could doing this on PlayDough tourneys help?

I have heard many people say they are a waste of time.

    Regards

For practice you can do it in the higher buy in playmoney I guess. The problem with play money is that it can lead you to bad habits because you can play terribly and still win most of them
