Congrats gotigers!
Pour moi, a Tale of Two Cities - first go at 10NL = crashed and burned.

6k hands, -$85, -13.78bb/100
Not excessively upset about this, $90 of this was getting it in preflop w/ QQ, KK or AK and running into AA or a lucky SOB. But nevertheless, back to 5NL to grind it all back up again

14k hands, +$65, 9.33bb/100 +$10 bonus
All-in-all, breakeven $wise, but +EV learning-wise
Double J if you don't mind me asking... how much was BR when you took your shot at 10 nl?? I am playing 4nl right now and I'm wondering at what dollar amount I should take a shot...
Thanks
don't ask him, he obviously doesn't time his shots very well.
Common bankroll management theory says take a shot when you have 20 buy-ins, and step down if you drop to 15 buy-ins (at the higher level). Personal comfort may put you at 25 - 30 buy-ins to take a shot and a higher corresponding step down roll.
:-D
never even thought of it like that, man
classic
EDIT: i'ma ask Dylan C to add a "RunBad Remaining" indicator to all 'Stars tables
good stuff here: http://www.flopturnriver.com/pokerfo...-153390-2.html
and verily, 'tis not merely about the dollar amount
br mgmt should be based on A) your winrate and B) your standard deviation. It has nothing to do with dollar amount. If your a loser after rakeback it doesn't matter if you have infinite money you will go broke if you play infinite hands(O_o). Moving up and moving down after dropping 5BI isn't really *taking a shot*. Taking shots is what can make or break you. Moving up at 20BI and down at 15BI will NEVER ever break you.
Decided to play a little zoom this month, I've been away from poker for over half a year:

100k hands @ 10nl
15k hands @ 25nl
Will be continuing to play 25nl ZOOM
Just ugh. Between pulling off most of my roll and this it looks like I'll be grinding 10nl for a while.

I got back to playing poker in late April. I have two days worth of "grinding." I'll start posting garphs in May when I have some hands.
nice work. FTR destroys yet another source of money into the poker economy... ;)
I withdrew $2500 from the poker economy last month. That was pretty much all of my profits before feeps and luckbox bonus. I still don't have 250k fpps, so no bonuses for a while yet...
a mix of stakes, some rungood, some runbad, some 1000bb pots, some HU4(%of)RLLZ that went badly, etc.
