Operation: Domination
Greetings! I started playing on-line poker close to two years ago. In that time, I've made a little over $1000 playing low stakes NL HE. However, once I got to the 1K mark, my game fell off dramatically and my leaks began to surface in a big way.
Now, it's time to start fresh. I need a clean slate.
Tonight, I'm going to download "Poker Tracker" and start using it. From what I've read, it is a very helpful tool and I must-have for anyone playing on-line poker seriously.
I've taken some money from my bankroll. I just needed to see some fruits of my labor over the two years I played. Now, I'm left with a little under $600. I think this is a good "reboot" amount.
The plan is to have two bankrolls. I will have $250 to play $10 NL cash games. I will have the other $250 to play $10 PL Omaha cash games. Recently, I've been studying Omaha and I really like it. I want to give it a shot and I think it'll be a nice change of scenery from NL HE. I have enough confidence in my NL HE abilities to start branching out to another game.
My signature has a tracker, so feel free to keep tabs on my progress through low-limit NL HE hell. I would make an Omaha goal tracker, but I can't have two at once. C'est la vie. I will post my results in Omaha as I get into it.
Input is always welcome! Feel free to leave comments on my hands. I can't continue to get better without seeing how I play from the outside.
Wish me luck!

"Operation: Domination" is off and running!
I played for about an hour today. Now, I know that's very short compared to some people in the forums, but sometimes it's all I can squeeze in. I am not a multi-tabler either, so it makes things pretty slow moving. I'm just not comfortable with doing it yet. It's not out of the question, though.
Wow.... I forgot how bad people played at these stakes.... I managed to earn half a buy-in today and I was pretty pleased with that considering I didn't play very long.
This was a nice hand!

When the person raised me, I smelled blood and went for the kill. I stacked them in the process, which was nice. The quads was a bonus, but not necessary.
This hand was not so good....

The raiser was a 53/8. I knew the raise meant something, but in the hand previous he bluffed it all the way after a PF raise. His smaller bets should have tipped me off, because he never bet when he had nothing. Just called, called, called.... Oh well. It was the worst play I made all session and I had the stack to soak it up. Live and learn....
Bad play aside, I was getting hit by the deck! I got AK two times, AQ two times, KK once, TT two times.... It was almost unreal considering I only played about 75 hands.
Even though I got some good hands, I think I played well also. I look forward to getting back to the tables soon!

Looks like you're off a running.
Good luck with the operation, sounds like you're all set and I'm sure you'll make it to $25NL really soon.

Thanks for the response! So far, so good! Stay tuned, more to come!

OMFG! You know, I haven't had a healthy gut laugh from sitting at the table in a good long while.... $10 NL games are a gold mine! I never realized how bad these people were. I saw some of the worst plays I've ever seen. Which meant.... I profited from it!
I found a juicy table where everyone was playing stacks ranging from $2-$5. So, since I always go in with the max, I stacked two people at the same time with AKo, which was pretty cool.
I'm pretty pleased with how I'm doing so far. I make small mistakes here and there, but I definately feel like I'm playing well. I haven't played many hands, but I'm feeling pretty confident right now.

Well, things have stalled a bit. I could not find a good table for the life of me tonight.... It seemed wherever I went, there were good players there. I just couldn't really get much going. I didn't lose a whole lot, and I broke about even.... Just a little frustrating, but the one thing that can cure an unfavorable table is leaving, so I did just that.
I have some hands from said session posted in another forum. If you want to see them, you can find them here: http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/...=495806#495806

Played for about an hour today and earned a buy-in! Table was pretty tight, but I got some decent cards at the right time and ended up taking out a few people in the process.
I'll post some of my stats later on because I don't have quite the sample to make any good evaluations just yet.
This hand was fun! However, I would've done the same thing in his spot....
