Do any of your chef friends play? Because I sort of think that some of the self-actualization needs that drive certain individuals to become great chefs on a line (creativity, action, spontaneity, variety, expression of individuality) are going to be completely unfulfilled by grinding. That isn't to say there isn't room for some of these things playing poker, but not in the same I've-created-glory-with-my-hands sort of way.

In that respect, I think your robot comment makes total sense. It's cool you're playing for fun though, when and how you want. There's sometimes a tendency on boards like these to suggest that the recreational player has to always play a certain way (with proper brm etc. in mind) but you have to take your personality makeup into consideration and do what's going to be fun for you.

Harry Potter 7 is so unbelievably good. However, you cannot and should not read 7 before 6, and you also cannot read 6 without reading 7 immediately afterwards.

The movies only water shit down, I wonder why they did not make Harry Potter in some sort of Bleach/Naruto/DBZ like 1 million episode anime. I mean, all the material is there for the whol;e story ark, so new things should not have to be introduced like in the books, but can be seen in a very old episode or something. And once the whole story is laid out, they could even branch out to "Scorpius' Rise to Power" or something.

It could even be CG ala Clone Wars or something.

didnt run into anyone who played anything more than the very occasional home game. Kitchen folk are degenerates though.. soo.. And ya I would like to grind, but I just cant do it at FR. When I first started playing I played sngs, which are pretty fast paced and then I moved directly to 6max then HU. Fr is just such an insane snooze fest and feels very unnatural to me. However short handed micro stakes are almost pointless due to the rake, and hu would be even worse. But in the end these are all just excuse and if I really wanted it I probably should have stuck it out and patiently grinded it up at like 2nl or whatever, but its summer. Its too nice out to be stuck inside making 4ptbb/100 @ 2nl..

So ESPN ran the top-10 facials of all time and they forgot the two best. They had some sick-ass dunks in the back, and somehow put two of Lebron's in the top-5, one of which he didn't even dunk on anyone (against Celtics in the EC Semi's) and the second on Timmy when he kinda just stood there with his arms up.

They didn't include Baron Davis over Kirelinko which has to be a top-3 facial and they forgot VC over the french dude in the Olympics which is certainly #1 as I'm fairly sure his cawk hit the guy in the face.

Seriously though, the crust on this pizza really stood out to me. I've never been a big fan of crusts but this one was very flavorful and had a good texture (not chewy, but also didnt fall apart). Hard to explain.

My wife just bought a brand new "beach bag" for our Vegas/Jamaica trip that is coming up. It's all colorful, big, and VERY girly. Today, I'm hanging out with a bunch of friends before she plays volleyball and she's like, "here, hold this, I have to go get something from the car." Of course I held it, and of course my friends gave me tons of shit because it's girly and there are colorful butterflies on the thing. Why did she do this?

Just flipping through it and reading the 20 page intro coupled with my brothers testimony that you have to read every single word on every page have made me pretty excited to read this beast. And I'm pretty sure my excitement would be shared by a few people around here.

I'm in about 50 pages including the 20 page intro and the book is brilliantly written. Though there are only two narrators at this time, it works amazingly and only subtly can you even think that its the same person writing for both of them.

She said "You can follow people and keep up with what there doing constantly". So its like stalking someone? I'm curious as to why there is such fascination with knowing when your friend is going to the dentist. Goddamn kids these days.
