Yeah I recongnise now we're using simple school triganometry (just using inverse functions that I'm unfamiliar with), in order to determine the angle, and hence ratio, of the sector, and hence arc.The method of recognizing that the triangle in ong's picture is isosceles is hidden in his explanation.
