Because building pots out of position with a wide range of hands isn't a very good NLHE strategy unless you're miles ahead of your opponents.

Why not checkraise most flops and take it down then? Villian is cbetting almost 100% of the time.

From your question and the answers, we are assuming your question is to 3 bet a blind stealer or just call him from the BB. You are in the BB, you don't need to worry about narrowing the field because you are already most likely HU to a stealer.

By 3betting pf you are playing with your cards up and you are out of position. I can call you with a wider range of hands and if I hit, you lose your stack.

You can't steal your own blind! This would be a defense of the blind, but now you fold out all hands that you dominate and keep PP's and any hand that beats you in HU. You just ballooned a pot from OOP with a hand that flops a pair 1/3 time. You will go broke playing like this.

If 2 or 3 weak players limp, and we have eg a raggy ace it is often profitable to raise as we are ahead of their limping range of suited connectors, crap like suited raggy kings, QT, etc.

either take it pre, or isolate and ake it down on flops that don't connect with that range. Bad players without the initiative to play back will usually instafold most bet sizes on the flop.

obviously getting a feel for what they limp is the most important thing. And when there is a raise and we're on the BB with A5o it's obv a clear fold...

Sorry I read the question wrong. I didn't mean 3 bet. I meant if I had like AQs on the BB and 3 people limped behind and SB completed then I am raising 8xbb 50% of the time to take down all the blinds from limpers or make them pay big to see a flop the other 50% of the time I am checking.
