Default What stakes is profitable enough for 6-max??

It seems like its really a grind with 50 n/l 6-max. I'm just wondering if there's any of you guys that play lower stakes that $100 n/l and show profit?? Maybe I should switch to full ring?

    I'm doing fine (10-15 ptbb) at $25NL 6-max over 10K+ hands.

no shit. what can this possibly mean?

to original poster : how big is your sample size at nl50 6 max?
when the vpip's are high and the value bets are like razors, who can be safe?

It possibly means that your big hands aren't getting paid enough. I have roughly 3,000 to 4,000 in sample size.

what would stack sizes have to do with your big hands not getting paid enough? unless you're buying in short I don't understand.

4k hands not too big... if you playing well i wouldn't worry.

Stack sizes? Stacks are 100xbb deep for any capped online NL game (well, most). The dollar value means nothing. Also, 3-4k hands is a very VERY small sample size. I have about 20k hands at 50nl running at about 12ptbb/100, although that is definitely not sustainable long term (ie 100k hands+). 6 max is also more profitable than full ring, so I don't see your point.

    stack size...
    hmmmm....

but on a serious note I was pulling a decent profit off of nl 25. It was a long time ago but i imagine it was about 6-7 dollars an hour. Dont qoute me tho cause it was a minute ago.

I averaged 7pt BB at 50 nl 6 max for about 60k hands quad tabling. This equates to about $20/hour which is fairly decent money in my opinion. My first 5k hands or so I was running at 15pt BB and make 1k in one week at 50nl. Short handed is a lot more profitable then full ring if you are agressive and can read people.
