do regs 3b/cold-call 4b's OOP vs other regs w/100bb stacks? except with hands they never intend to fold anyway (ie if villain thought hero was full of shit 90% of the time here he might flat AA/KK planning to check/shove lots of flops or something). i seriously cannot think of a single hand (barring the above situation) that i'd like to have in a cold-call vs 4bet range in this situation. even if he does cold-call 4bets, what hands is he likely to have in his range that we are stoked to see coming to a flop vs us? he wouldn't be bad enough to 3b/call 44-99 would he?
re your "sure a 5bet is ugly" point. i've always been under the impression that, in these preflop 3/4/5b strategy games, we shouldn't 4bet hands we don't want to felt vs a 5b (unless we are 4b bluffing, in which case we'd use a polarised range and be better off using a typical "bluff" hand like Axs than TT). i'm not sure if that's correct, but it's the line of thought i've had drilled into me at some point along the way.
