Turbo vs Normal

I'm playing on UB right now and they offer both Turbo and normal speed tables.

Which is better to play personally. I kind of like just playing 2 tables that have over 120 hands an hour as I can really analyze my opponents and get data on them fast but there are times I wish I had some moving room as to deciding a call.

What have your experiences been like? Is it better to do 4 tables of normal speed or 2-3 of super speed.?

I'm assuming you're talking about fast-speed and normal-speed tables and not turbo vs normal tournaments.

I usually try to play on fast tables just because in micros just because I don't really have to make such hard decisions/analyze opponents as much. Also the people seem to take forever to make a play in a normal table.

Yeah ring games are what I'm talking about. I do like the speed because huge decisions don't come up often enough to really merit that but at the same time I get so absorbed in one hand that I don't hear the noise coming from the other one and it folds decent cards.

i play regular speed games. fast speed forces you to make a decision quickly or your hand is folded. i'd rather play more tables of regular speed than be forced to make marginal decisions because of fast speed tables

If I am massively multi-tabling.. like 16+ I go with only normal speed. If I am doing only 9 tables or something, I just mix them in since we aren't really ever going to have to worry about timing out then.

Keep in mind, in my experience fast tables seem to have more impatient donks.. so..

wow outlaw . 16+tables at once? I am . One is sometimes to much for me. Hats off to ya . Anyway, I have come to be a fan of Turbos. I do like the fast pace of it and as outlaw says, there seems to be alot of donks there. Full Tilt has some 3 min SnGs that I play and have won a few. Gl at whatever speed you like to play, or how many you play at once.

I think you should just focus on your decisions and try to go for a huge winrate because you learn more if you play like 6 tables than 9 since you pay attention to what's happening more

turbo turbo turbo.... I think playing 4 tables turbo it's a good way to train speed, your buy in must be much lower than the normal and that's all.... I love playing tournaments all the time so I "train" at 4 tables at the same time until head ups and just then I start analyzing ...jejeje (play for fun)

exactly what does short stacking have to do with whether to play a normal or turbo table.

I agree with this.. when learning keep the tables to a minimum.. after you are a solid winner then just play however many tables give you the best hourly rate... still mix in less tabled sessions here and then to keep the learning process going.

Short-stacking is more of a mechanical way if playing.. so you can play faster and thus more hands on the fast tables.

turbo is the way to go. you can analyze your opponents and still play your game. the game seems to move faster and smoother do to having fast players. your decision time is less but who needs a lot of time to fold a 7 4 off suit.

I think that Ultra Turbo is the best if your site offers it... it is amazing how much faster you get results plus it puts people under pressure and makes people have more mistakes/regrets.

I'm Turbo or Ultra Turbo all the way for ring games.

Fast table
