    Default Terminology Question.....

I know how to state what NLHE stake you play (10NL, 25NL, etc.), & the benchmark there is 100 BB. How do you state your stake for LHE? I play .10/.20 on a BR of $240, so do I play "$20 LHE"? I ceratinly don't buy in for that amount, I buy in to about 3 tables for $10 each (50 big bets, which is more than plenty there). Just wondering how to "state my stakes" in my notes. Thanks!!

I would just say .10/.20LHE. When ever i see someone talking about limit they just say something like 3/6LHE, 6/12LHE etc.

Yup, that's definitely the standard. It's not really important to know how much the usual buyin is since you can't lose more than 12 big bets in a hand of limit holdem anyways.

and i doubt you need to state your "buy-in" amount, but, fwiw, 30bbs is standard. even though, the stars default, and i assume others, is 20 bbs.

just dont buy in short of 12. if every street caps, thats what you will use to win the hand. you potentially leave money on the table in limit, too.

i hate/love seeing a donkey with 5 bb's left catch AA, and play it hard, with someone giving him action, all the way to the first bet on the TURN...and being all-in...when his hand holds up.

you should NEVER be "all-in" in a limit ring game.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!
