Stat review: 37k hands through $2NL, $5NL, now on to $10NL
Hokay.
Overdue stat review here. I probably should've done this earlier but after I joined up here and decided to get serious about improving my play, I cruised pretty well through 12k hands at $2NL (39 bb/100 winrate), moved up as my bankroll permitted, and I'm now through 19k hands at $5NL (14 bb/100, but running above 20 my last 10k hands). Recently I've started to play some $10NL, and, well, suffice to say I am not winning.
I'm gong to post my charts/stats first and I'll talk about them after. Two things first, though:
1) These stats are for all levels together: $2, $5, and $10. The precipitous drop at 15k hands is my first move from $2 to $5, and the downright freefall around 25k is my move from $5 to $10. More on that later, obv.
2) When I got Poker Copilot I'd already been playing for a few months, and I could have gone back and gotten my entire hand history, but I decided not to because I had a rather ignominious start, and wanted to begin anew from $2NL and work my way up proper. For posterity, I'll add that I would have been a losing player if not for a $1,000 MTT win in July that more than covered my buy-ins. After taking most of that out of my account I found FTR and set to work trying to get good. My total bankroll is now just north of $300.

Okay, so, now, both times I've moved up in level I've been met with a vicious, vicious run of bad beats, mixed with a healthy dose of bad play, and in the 25k hand $10NL fiasco, 100ccs of full-blown tilt. It was one of those runs where you're getting raised and pushed so much that you think, "No f-ing way can all these guys have hands. I'm calling," and they do have hands! All of them! And if they don't, suckout! Soon you're calling river pushes with ace high while trying to convince yourself that a double shot of Jack will improve your winrate and your girlfriend is threatening to break up with you if you don't delete the PokerStars software from your laptop immediately. So yeah, I went back to $5NL for a while and once again the wins came pretty easy. Now I'm back at $10NL, playing better, but still getting sandblasted with suckout after suckout. So instead of playing tonight I decided to post this, review a bunch of hands, and read a few chapters in Hold 'em Poker for Advanced Players. This is the first real hiccup for me and I know I'll never make it to $25NL without some serious work. Any feedback is welcome. Tell me if I need to post more stats or charts.
I'll probably be following up with some specific hands once I can stomach reliving all the brutality.
