I've had some similar experiences recently. Concerning the first example, given what the board showed up to the river (with that ugly ace), I probably would've done the same. Or course, I would've been concerned about a possible set, but his betting didn't seem to suggest that until the turn. Even so, I would've never thought he had pocket kings-he just slow played them it looked like. I lost a considerable bet today that was definitely similar. I had pocket kings-long story short-we eventually go all in-he had pocket aces...go figure.

As for the second example, I definitely would've been more cautious given the crappy flop. I would've been worried about possible trips and that one guy that plays 90% of his hands with A2 offsuit. But this is probably all moot since, if I read it correctly, you were all in before the flop. I probably would've tried to avoid going all in with pocket QQs-I definitely would want to see the flop.

I can also relate with your net loss experience. My worst pocket cards, by far, is AK, and my best pocket cards are 8's...go figure.
