    Default Pot Odds Question

When calculating pot odds (not implied, just the current pot odds), do i include my call?

    Take this quick example

    Current Pot: $8
    Opponent Bets $2

    Are my pot odds 1:5 (2/10) or 1:6 (2/12) ?

you do not include your call. You're paying 2 to win the available 10.

    thank you for clarifying

without taking into account implied odds, what are the pot odds that would make an open ended straight draw, an inside straight draw, and a flush draw justifiable?

i got this from a friend, but i'm not sure if they're right

    Inside Straight Draw - 1:11
Open Ended Straight Draw - 1:5
    Flush Draw - 1:4

wondering where the 3 extra chairs at my 6max table came from
Also keep in mind the odds you're quoting are made draw by the next card... hence why implieds are so important (esp where a straight on a non-flush draw or paired board which can be vry nicely disguised...)

In most cases, I've found on at $10 or $25NL that someone will bet out enough to price you out of the next street drawing odds. e.g. A PSB on the flop. However -- the smaller bet sizes on the early streets combined with the implied odds ability to either stack, or at least extract sig value on the later streets if you hit can make it worth a call. Also need to keep in mind what you're drawing too... if it's the ass-end of the straight or a real sub-nuts flush, you stand to hit, stack your opp and STILL lose -- and lose big.
