Default Keep paying off ****ing sets.. what to do?

ok. 1st hand (no hem sstats as doesnt work) :

1 limper, i have AQs and raise 4x, he calls

flop is AQ4. he leads out (thinks hes got set), i call. turn is blank, he bets again. i call, river he vb $7.50 into 11. i say 444 but reraised all in anyway

next hand ak. i raise 5x, 1 caller. A96, i bet 3/4. he calls. bet 3/4, he shoves and i new he had 999 but called anyway.

    AA, raise 6x, 1 caller. flops 10 6 10. he bets, i raise, he reraise. i call, turn 6 and i shove.

all fking stupid plays by me and are these folds how 25nl is beaten? all stacks are 100bb.

1 more think, is calling 3.25 (13bb) good with 1010 for set mining?

cheers for reading and i really wanna beat 25nl!

    lol.. no advice?

    Advice:

    -Get HEM or PT3
-post the hand histories of each hand to make viewing them easier
-asking general questions such as 'should I set mine with TT' will be heavily dependant on numerous factors such as your opponents opening range, their stack size, your image, how they play postflop etc. so without much information besides the hand itself we can't really tell you how to play it correctly.

cant afford them, trials used up. and ive said they dont work. iv tried fixing them

cant find the hand nhistory as theres too many and surely you can give me advice with the info i gave..

What's your bankroll since you're playing 25nl? You could probably use some of that towards purchasing either.

You seem to have trouble communicating efficiently in the forum format, so maybe you should come into IRC. There's a sticky in the community forum that will show you how to get there. Then you can talk poker 24/7 in real time without the forum format with a few dozen other FTR players.

you can save hand histories straight from your computer or from the site

If I can answer your question generally (and that can be done even without the reads, stats, and hand histories), when you face big aggression with a good hand, you need to go back and replay the hand in your mind and put the villain on a range. You should do this even without reads or stats-- it's not going to be as accurate, but it's still possible to put the villain on a generic range based on what a typical player at the level would do.

What I am saying is that the general answer to your question is that sometimes you will pay off a set because the line taken by the player is a line that might also be plausibly taken by a player with hand that does not beat you (for instance, a player semi-bluffing a big draw or a player with a worse 2 pair or overpair). Other times, however, this sort of range analysis will confirm to you that it is very unlikely that you have the villain beat and will allow you to make a smart fold.

For more than that, you have to post hand histories. But that's the general approach.

Having just read this .....have I understood correctly ......

You have used the free trial period but have not yet bought HEM ?

If thats the case , Why the F*** do you think HEM is going to work ? Its called a free trial period for a reason, so that you can try the program out with pretty much full functionality for a short period of time and then it will stop working until you stump up the cash and pay for it?.

If you have paid for HEM , badger them on their forums you paid for it , they should help you get it to work or refund your money.I've seen quite often on their forums the support staff saying that they will arrange a time to do remote monitoring and help with problems as it helps them track down bugs that can/will affect other customers.

I really hope this is a latter case and not the first one.

Im opedipus bitch, the original balla.
I've heard that HEM has wonderful support. I've never had a problem where I needed to turn to them, but I've heard they will remote control your computer to fix problems if need be.

Either way, threads such as this one does not help anyone. As you can see we can't give proper advice on the hands, because there is too little information. All future threads that have original posts with such low content will be locked. We use hand histories on this forum. Either that or detailed questions. Asking "is it okay to call 3.25 to setmine with TT" is not an appropriate question.

learn to reconize big hand lines. Some people will only take a certain line if they have a big hand. Like 2-pair or better. Example at micros if someone calls your bet on the flop oop then c-raises you on the turn that is usually always a set or better. Also learn to put your opponent on ranges and use ps to compare your hand to that range.

You post hands where you openly state you know you were beaten yet you shove/call anyway and then ask for advice on how to stop paying off better hands?

I'd start by not shoving when you think you're beat, and work my way up to not calling when you think you're beat (technically the second is more of a pot odds thing where it depends on how often you think you're beat).
Just dipping my toes back in.
