Default How are tourney prizes chopped?

Recently I read that a few of players were trying to come to a deal on a way to split the tournament prize money in a PS tourney. I think that the last 3 were fairly close in chips at the end of a big MTT and wanted to split all the remaining money. How does this work? Does the site make the necessary moves, or do you have to play to set it up? Can this be done for any tournamet, SnG, etc...?

    Thanks

e mail [email protected] with the sbjext line:
    URGENT: Chop on tournament#

They will do everything necessary and even offer a deal.
It is up to the players to negotiate a deal that they feel is fair.

I have never heard of chopping an STT... but it has happened in the 180 man SnGs, so I guess it is possible.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

I've made a deal on a Stars MTT so it was probably Party that you're thinking of, but they just put a new deal system into their software to allow deals.
