How can i play pocket pairs?

Hi guys,
I just play poker for a few months. I really love Texas hold'em. I read a lot about it, and very different strategies... but i want to know how i should play exactly my pocket pairs at the preflop.
Which is the correct bet with AA or KK? what i must to do with TT or less? Because i usually bet or call with TT and then i must to fold because there are higher cards in the flop.

QQ, KK, and AA you can bet really aggressively

22-66 generally we're looking to hit a set on the flop

77-JJ is a bit tricker to play imo. the hand is strong but most of the time our hand can't stand too much action

AFchung, thank you for your help. But what do you want to say with really aggressively? Always all in, a half of my stack, the pot...? I wish to learn to play tournaments better, cause if I get AA, i go all in, but if a crazy player calls and win, i lose my join in the tournament.

in tournaments a lot of luck is involved. not only will you need hands to hold up, but you'll probably be sucking out a few times if you're really going to be making it deep in a tournament

you shouldn't be worried about busting. its going to happen very often, and if you ever get your money in with KK/AA you should be happy

I'm starting to push really hard if I get Q's through A's as mentioned above. I've played conservatively and have gotten burned by limpers making s straight.

i think no matter what pair your holding it all depends on the opositonm u r at the table and who ur playing with i mean if u r at a donkey filled table hell yeah jack it up with AA hell push if needed

With 22-JJ I usually try to see the flop for as cheaply as possible, if I make the set, then I will play for a big pot.

With QQ-AA, usually I'll be trying to play for a small to a medium size pot. I get aggressive both preflop and pf. I will try to make it as expensive as possible to draw against me. What I really want to do here is thin the field as much as possible, so I will frequently bet/raise/3bet to try to get as many opponents as I can to fold. Pocket Aces against a random hand wins 85.5% of the time. Pocket Aces against 4 random hands 55.8% of the time.

Asno, I suggest you try and find a good poker book to read. I know most are in english but it's much easier to read another language than it is to write it as you well know.

If you get Harrington on Holdem you'll have a good base knowledge to build off of and after a month of reading and practicing you'll be ready to pwn the lower limits.
