Default Hmmm, what shudda I done?

Don't really have an accurate read on villain as it was late and I was MT, but he didn't stick out so I wasn't impressed. Recently dropped back to 2NL as I found 5NL pretty tough. Actually, even 2NL fast tables are a challenge for me. I seem to do well at regular 2nl FR and 6m. Hmmm, my struggles to move up are fodder for another post.

As I was saying, no real read, I'm just trying to ABC 4 tables.

    PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (9 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com
    MP1 ($1.83)
    MP2 ($0.39)
    Hero (MP3) ($4.55)
    CO ($1.41)
    Button ($1.26)
    SB ($1.58)
    BB ($1.52)
    UTG ($4.97)
    UTG+1 ($2.17)
    Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K, A
    2 folds, MP1 calls $0.02, 1 fold, Hero bets $0.10, CO calls $0.10, 3 folds, MP1 calls $0.08
    Flop: ($0.33) 4, 4, A (3 players)
MP1 bets $0.04, Hero raises to $0.14, CO raises to $0.24, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.10
    Turn: ($0.85) J (2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $0.52, Hero?
    Total pot: $0.85 | Rake: $0.04

Pre he flat calls a 5BB bet, so I'm putting him on any pair, AK AQ. I wish I had more history on him to verify he's not throwing junk like KJo etc. Sorry, I don't.

I'm thinking MP1 has nothing, so I go ahead and raise him 3x-ish. Villain comes over the top with a weird-sized 3 bet. Huh? A weaker ace and I'm laffin', not putting any 4's in his range.

On the turn I should have bet out, but feared another shove. Better yet, should have put him AI on the flop. Maybe that would have been better than checking and getting the shove anyway (more information to justify giving up). Did he really have AJ? Quads?

Sorry if this HH is a ramble, I've only done a couple. Any feedback is appreciated.

Think about the pot odds you are offering with your flop raise size. I'd get it in on the flop expecting to see Ax, 4x and some flush draws. Just get it in on the turn as played.

I'd treat MP's flop bet as a check and bet around pot... I would never expect a flop 3bet like this where villain holds A4, 44 or AA unless he's a braindead aggro idiot. This is one of those spots where I feel comfortable about getting it in with TPTK on the flop. You're either chopping, crushing worse Aces, or ahead of any frisky flush draws.

Even with those rare nut hands on the flop, you're still making out well.

I think these points are much more important. Don't you? Fix the basics first my friend. Not saying you shouldn't work on the rest of the game but worry about dribbling the ball before you worry about about dunking it! What I am trying to say is your horse can't find the cart if ya know what I mean!
