Just as an example, in your particular hand, you could have played it completely differently depending on who your opponent was, the board texture, etc.
You can raise preflop against a villain who folds a lot.
You can limp preflop against a passive player who calls too much.
You can fold preflop against an aggro monkey who is going to systematically raise your limps or reraise your raise.
You can bet your draw on the flop against a tight opponent.
You can check/call your draw as you did.
You can check/fold your draw if his bet is too big or if the flop is monochrome.
Your turn donk pot sized bet may be good or not, depending on the range of your opponent and his tendencies. Betting "because there is a flush draw on the board" is probably not a good reason enough to bet in itself. It is worth considering all the factors and possible actions. Check/raise, check call may also be viable options.
Call his shove may be good or not, for example if your opponent is a rock who only shoves the nuts.
So the answer is... it depends.
That is also why when you post hands you should post all the information: villain stats or tendencies, your table image, which exactly you hold, which cards are on the board, what is the range of your opponent, etc
