Disconnect protect is teh gay. I understand why it's there, but people who exploit it deliberately are assholes. Most sites don't police it unless the player is reported by someone else in the hand - then they'll review other incidents and reports (if any) and make a decision. I reported a guy on Party one time for a hand where he raised big pre-flop, and I called with a low pair; then he bet out on a harmless flop that happened to give me a set. I raised all in and he disconnected; I ended up winning but he got to find out if I was bluffing or not for no additional cost. Really irritating. Party assured me he hadn't had any prior incidents but they still sent him a warning, apparently - something like "Maybe you did, maybe you didn't... but don't do it again."
