What are some major differences I should keep in mind when switching between cash and SnG games? (9 players each)

Lastnight this guy at our home game kept coming over the top of me whenever I was in a pot (his was on my left). He ended up taking out pretty much everyone on his right thanks to his agressive style. I get the inkling that this is good for tournaments, but not in cash games.

Can I get an elaboration please?
