    Default bottom 2 BvB

35/0/1.4 aggro factor, no real reads other than that he completes sb with any 2 suited cards... only 50 hands

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

    Button ($9.47)
    Hero (SB) ($20.10)
    BB ($3.80)
    UTG ($11.96)
    MP ($3.41)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 4, 9
3 folds, Button calls $0.05, Hero checks

    Flop: ($0.20) Q, 9, J (2 players)
    Button checks, Hero checks

    Turn: ($0.20) 4 (2 players)
Button bets $0.20, Hero raises to $0.80, Button calls $0.60

    River: ($1.80) 2 (2 players)
    Button bets $2 ....

note i am actually big blind and he is actually small blind idk why the hand history freaked out like this...

i only need 34.5% equity to call, assigning a range is the tough thing, with someone with such a low aggro factor i think he is only really doing this with 2 pairs and maybe some slow played straights...if i make his range
AQs,KQs,KTs,QJs,Q9s,Q4s,Q2s,J9s,T8s,AQo,KQo,KTo,QJ o,Q9o,J9o,T8o (and i really think the way he plays this hand that he would just check/call something like aq or kq) i only have 29% equity ....so i should have folded?

disclaimer, i know its not exactly bottom two but you get the idea

something is wrong with the HH... why is button acting first every street postflop? I'm guessing you are bb and he is sb?

What is your reasoning behind the turn raise?

Edit: Let me better explain me reasoning behind the original statement. Before you raise you first have to figure out if he is going to be continuing with enough of his range to make it a value raise or a bluff(semi-bluff if you count a redraw to the FH). The range that you gave him on the river, makes it seem like you were turning your hand into a bluff without knowing it.

Granted, the range would look different if he checks, but again, then what is his range and how much would you bet?

Back to the first point, if you believe that your raise was for value that being, that he continues with a range composed of hands that you have >50% equity vs then the 2h changes absolutely nothing in terms of hand strength. Yes, his bet does actually narrow his range as it is highly doubtful he is ever bluffing, however, he seems to be mashing the pot button which can often end up being a TP type hand.

It's interesting to note that your turn raise is two different things against two different lines. Versus his line if he checked the river it would almost always have been a value raise. However, versus his actual line is becomes much closer to a bluff/semi-bluff.

my reasoning for the turn raise was solely for value, i think he calls with Qx Jx all day...maybe get some value from a Tx type hand... but yea when he raises the river i think he narrows his range quite a lot given his passiveness that he usually displays.

Probably a crying call but I expect to be beat a lot

If he limp/folds a lot or calls wide then folds to cbets then I like a raise pre flop.

He's probably not bluffing any missed diamond draws and his range is strong with that sizing so folding seems best.

this seems like a pretty standard call for me. i'm not surprised if he shows up with things like JT and T9 here a lot.

i know lol talking about villain putting us on ranges at 10nl, but even fish recognize that we're generally very week here given it's 5-handed, bvb and both preflop and flop went check/check. fish just love to spazz in this spots with mediocre hands that they're not really sure whether they're bluffing with or getting value with. his sizing looks seems to polarize his range too, and makes hands like J9 a lot less likely in my mind (much more likely a set or better).
