    I think you are doing yourself a disservice to ignore other forms of poker. There are interesting concepts in 7-stud that are blatantly obvious to learn. Those concepts are subtle in a game like NLHE, but they are certainly +EV spots to exploit. Learning to isolate them from the white noise of all hands/flops/villains is easy when you see them presented in a different form. The same is true for all poker games.

    But forget all that and play them because they're fun. Use play money on PS and start goofing off. Or invite some friends over for a night of dealer's choice.

    I started out by playing 7 card stud in the pub.
    I wouldn't go back to it though.

    I'm sure there is some good theory to improve it,
    but I find too little opportunities to influence and too much chance involved in limit stud games.

    I still play RAZZ occasionally just for fun.
