Default 5NL TPTK 3b pot, monotone flop

    Hey! New to the forum

Villain is 72/12,over 25 hands, was just wondering whether its ok to go with this on the flop if he shoves, with no heart in my hand or to check call and lead turn or crai on turn?

    CO ($6)
    Button ($6.76)
    Hero (SB) ($5)
    BB ($1.42)
    UTG ($3.92)
    MP ($5.02)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, K
UTG bets $0.10, 2 folds, Button calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.55, 1 fold, UTG calls $0.45, 1 fold

    Flop: ($1.25) 2, 5, K (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $0.20, Hero calls $0.20

    Turn: ($1.65) Q (2 players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $0.45, Hero raises to $3.20, UTG calls $2.72 (All-In)

    River: ($7.99) 2 (2 players, 1 all-in)

    Total pot: $7.99 | Rake: $0.33

    Cheers Adam

    Hey Adam,

Welcome to the forum! You definitely have to bet the flop here, and large. He'll play passively and call a lot with hearts/kings so you want to be getting max value.

No stats for post flop? Some fishes are ultra passive preflop and aggressive post flop, others it's the other way around...

Pot the flop and call a shove (unless maybe he is incredibly passive post flop).

As played, raise the flop when he bets small.

As played, open on the turn.

Also no offense meant, just friendly advice: if you have to ask this question maybe you should start by playing at 2NL, not 5NL.

Your opponent is really bad at poker.
Against really bad players, usually the best way to get your money into the pot is betting.
