    Default 2NL 6m 99 OESD OOP

    Villain is 27/13/1.5Agg 11% steal 75% cbet (3/4) over 56 hands

    My table image is tight.

    Hero (SB) ($2.03)
    BB ($1.93)
    UTG ($3.38)
    MP ($2.02)
    Button ($3.70)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 9, 9
2 folds, Button bets $0.06, Hero calls $0.05, 1 fold

    Flop: ($0.14) 10, J, 8 (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $0.08, Hero raises to $0.30, Button calls $0.22

    Turn: ($0.74) 4 (2 players)

    Hero barrels turn or not?

Do you like the flop c/r?

I don't like my c/r either at all.

I beat a good deal of his cbetting range and have good equity vs what I don't beat. I doubt he folds anything that beats me, other than maybe some Tx. Just c/c the flop is the correct play here imo.

As played why do you want to jam the turn rather than b/f?

The plan is to set mine, or flop an overpair if lucky, or maybe call down on a T high flop. I am aware that this may not be good at higher stakes, but at 2NL I think it is OK.

I would 3b vs a villain who has a decent steal % or higher PFR.

One note about the flop, if I were villain I would not bet without a made hand or a strong draw (maybe he would though, can't say). His sizing made me think that he was on some kind of draw because I think he would have bet this wet flop bigger with TPTK or an overpair. That is the reason I raised at the time.

I'd just call on the flop, if we had just 9x then a c/r is ok imo.

Here's another spot where someone decided to raise with the reasoning of LOL PAIR + DRAW

    cool, thanks

ordinarily, i'd shy off set-mining a BTN open as his range is likely to be too wide to have pay-offable holdings often enough.

What are you seeing in this spot to change that view? His steal % is very low, but you've only got 9-10 orbits on him; does this give you enough info to put him on a tighter range here?

or am i missing the point?

    cheers!

I'd consider donking because I'd donk a tonne on this board but would probably just c/c, c/f most of the time w/ this hand.

Donking all the 9x we'd be peeling with here is best imo.

Yes you may be right that it is not a good idea to set mine small pairs vs tight players button opens, but then 99 is not really a small pair, it also has a decent potential of flopping an overpair. I could imagine 3betting instead of calling, but I'd prefer to do that vs a looser player or one who has stats showing a higher steal %. Folding is not an option imo.

Why exactly did you want to bloat this pot and fold out pretty much all his weak draws and bluffs?
